Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Guitar Craftsman to join our team at Guitar Center. As a key member of our repair services, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer experiences through the maintenance and repair of customer-owned instruments.

Your Role

In this role, you will perform maintenance and repair services on customer-owned instruments, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship. You will also assist in maintaining store inventory and contribute to building the business through great customer experiences and quality work. Key characteristics that make successful Repair Technicians include:

• Customer Focus: Understands customer service principles, provides excellent customer experiences, and connects with customers in a meaningful way.

• Initiative: Identifies opportunities and issues, follows through on work activities to capitalize or resolve them, and develops knowledge and skills including product, store operations, sales, and leadership.

• Selling: Works through GC certification program to gain a base understanding of products and sales techniques.

• Training: Effectively trains learners and communicates information and techniques so they are retained.

Key Responsibilities

This position requires you to:

• Interact with customers to ensure a positive customer experience

• Service customer-owned instruments with high-level craftsmanship

• Maintain store-owned gear as requested

• Complete warranty repair work

Requirements and Preferences

To succeed in this role, you should have a skilled understanding of repairing guitars and foundational product knowledge on Guitar Center products.
