Job Summary

As a Clinical Psychologist with Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to adult and child members. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including test administration and interpretation, to diagnose and treat a range of mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Participate in departmental program development, implementation, and evaluation, contributing to the advancement of mental health services and best practices.
Requirements
  • PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited college or university.
  • Psychologist License (California) within 6 months of hire.
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.
  • Knowledge of DSM-V and evidence-based practices in mental health treatment.
  • Experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous clinical experience in crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy.
  • Demonstrated experience in psychological evaluations of adults, children, adolescents, and families.
  • Knowledge of psychological testing techniques, administration, and interpretation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
