Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital Midwest. As a RN in this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing care to adult patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform as a circulator, scrub, or monitor on the Cath Lab procedure team
  • Ensure patient preparation and timely access to necessary information, such as history and physical (H&P)
  • Administer medications to patients, including critically ill patients, and report abnormal information to physicians in a timely manner
  • Perform hemostasis safely and properly with or without vascular devices
  • Enter patient orders and charges, and verify accuracy
  • Provide education to patients and families based on assessed needs, document education provided, and keep them informed of tests and treatments
  • Assist families to the cardiology area or cath lab area by escorting when necessary
  • Perform point of care testing according to policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
  • No experience required
