Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at Salem Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating imaging equipment, selecting appropriate radiation exposure factors, and performing CT and X-ray exams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Selecting radiation exposure factors to obtain diagnostic quality images while minimizing patient exposure
  • Performing CT and X-ray exams, analyzing examinations for completeness, and gathering additional patient information or images as needed
  • Documenting exams thoroughly, including patient history and pertinent information
  • Retaining new and complex information, demonstrating comprehension, and employing new principles in imaging, record keeping, and patient care
  • Demonstrating competency in imaging equipment operation, following safe procedures, and performing proper care and cleaning

Background/Expertise
  • Graduate from an imaging technology program approved by licensing bodies
  • One (1) year experience in CT preferred
  • Licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) in radiography
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography
  • Licensed in CT by the OBMI or registered in CT by the ARRT
  • Requires BLS from the AHA within 90 days of hire
