Network Engineer Role for Unreal Gigs

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team at Unreal Gigs. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing network systems to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Design and Implementation: Plan, design, and implement network systems including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN setups to align with organizational needs and provide scalability.
  • Network Performance Optimization: Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to ensure optimal speed, stability, and availability.
  • Network Security and Compliance: Deploy and manage security protocols such as firewalls, intrusion detection, and VPN configurations to safeguard the network from external threats and ensure compliance with data security standards and best practices.
  • Network Expansion and Upgrades: Collaborate on network upgrade projects, evaluate emerging technologies, and provide recommendations for future network expansions to ensure a smooth transition and minimal disruption.
  • Documentation and Troubleshooting: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, topologies, and troubleshooting steps to ensure clear, accurate records for reference and support continuity.
Requirements:
  • Network Design and Management: In-depth experience with network architecture, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless network setups, with a strong foundation in designing scalable and resilient networks.
  • Network Security Knowledge: Proficiency in firewall configuration, intrusion prevention, and VPN management to implement robust security measures to protect against cyber threats.
  • Networking Protocols and Tools: Expertise in networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and familiarity with tools such as Cisco Meraki, SolarWinds, or Wireshark for performance monitoring.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Advanced troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving complex network issues, with an analytical approach to network optimization.
  • Documentation and Organization: Strong organizational skills to document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures for efficient network management.
  • Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Network Engineering, or equivalent experience in network engineering.
  • Relevant Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Network+, Juniper Networks Certified) are highly advantageous.
  • Experience Requirements: 3+ years of experience in network engineering or IT infrastructure, with a track record of designing, implementing, and optimizing network systems.
