About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Public Safety Officer to join our team at Georgia Tech. As a Public Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in law enforcement patrol functions, including foot, bike, or motorized equipment checks to ensure building security.
  • Assist police officers with arrests, using handcuffs and other restraints as necessary.
  • Prepare investigative and other reports, including sketches, using appropriate grammar and mathematical computations.
  • Perform rescue functions at accidents, emergencies, and disasters, including directing traffic and administering emergency medical aid.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one.
  • Up to three years of job-related experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree, or two years of college coursework.
