We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Safety Attendant to join our team at Ascension Health. As a key member of our crisis response team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a secure and safe environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Protect and maintain a secure psychiatric hospital environment by upholding rules and regulations for the safety of staff, patients, visitors, and the facility.
- Provide patient assistance, including de-escalating volatile situations and responding accordingly.
- Assist with the search, inventory, storage, and return of patient property.
- Serve as a member of the crisis response team and participate/lead situational debriefs as required.
- Respond to requests for further assistance and emergent situations to assist and manage combative/hostile patients and situations to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Management of Aggressive Behavior credentialed from the Management of Aggressive Behavior Training International, Inc. preferred.
- Education: High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
