Job Summary:

Sigma Healthcare is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As an Echo Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and process echocardiograms to diagnose and monitor cardiac conditions.
  • Conduct emergency echocardiograms as needed to ensure timely diagnosis and treatment.
  • Transport equipment to patient bedside as required to provide efficient care.
  • Assist in Transesophageal echocardiogram support in various settings, including OR, Cardiac Cath Lab, outpatient, and inpatient environments.
  • Participate in call coverage for nights and weekends to ensure 24/7 patient care.
  • Enter patient data into electronic medical records for accurate documentation.
  • Provide technical instruction to nurses, residents, fellows, and nursing students on echocardiography techniques.
  • Maintain current knowledge of echocardiography technology through ongoing education and training.
  • Review current articles and attend conferences as required by supervisor to stay up-to-date on industry developments.
  • Travel to staff outreach sites to perform echos and EKGs as needed.

Qualifications & Certifications:

  • ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac sonography.
  • ARDMS or CCI certification in vascular sonography.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
