Housekeeping Assistant

Join our team at Greene Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as a part-time Housekeeping & Laundry staff member. This role requires every other weekend rotation and sometimes 1-9 pm work.

Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Disinfection:

Clean and disinfect all surface areas in the building, including furniture, wheelchairs, floors, walls, and glass.

Supply Management:

Put out supplies for wings, such as paper goods, linens, soaps, etc.

Training and Development:

Assist in the training of new housekeeping employees.

Attendance and Communication:

Attend all required in-service training meetings throughout the year.

Attend departmental meetings when required.

Patient Care:

Have an awareness and concern for patient comfort and safety.

Work Environment:

Well-lighted, well-ventilated work area.

Subject to cold and hot temperatures in the kitchen and storerooms.

Subject to burns, cuts, and falls.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

Ability to follow oral and written orders in English.

High degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene.

Sense of responsibility.

Ability to work in close cooperation with others.

Previous experience in dietary or housekeeping work is helpful.
