Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  1. Product Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews of products to ensure they meet internal and customer specifications, taking prompt action when non-compliance is noted.
  2. Quality Checks: Accurately conduct product reviews, grading, packaging, and weights, as well as perform and record quality checks on product and regulatory checks as specified within company programs and USDA regulations.
  3. Equipment Maintenance: Inspect equipment for cleanliness and proper working condition prior to start-up and record findings.
  4. Associate Supervision: Monitor associates' work practices, addressing any deficiencies immediately and continually evaluating potential for foreign material contamination in assigned work areas.
Requirements
  • Education: High school or equivalent.
  • Experience: A minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years in a comparable field or a minimum of 6 months in the current position with 2 occurrences or less and no active disciplinaries.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience in food quality and/or safety.
Work Environment

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to wet and moist floors, temperatures ranging from 28 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and occasional exposure to dust, feathers, and chemicals used in poultry processing. You must be able to stand for several hours, lift up to 50 pounds, and wear protective and safety equipment as directed by the company.
