About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Finish Painter to join our team at Volvo Group North America. As a Finish Painter, you will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to machines, manufactured products, and working areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply coatings to surfaces using spray guns, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for coating, removing grease and dirt using materials like lacquer thinner, soap, and water.
  • Select and mix coating liquids to produce desired colors according to specifications.
  • Regulate the width and pressure of spray according to knowledge of painting techniques.
  • Clean spraying equipment and brushes with solvents.
  • Perform spot repairs on parts using blending clear to cut in edges.
  • Wet sand small defects and buff paint back to its original shine.
