Welder Foreperson

Gas Facility Fabrication Role

We are seeking an experienced welder foreperson to join our team at CenterPoint Energy. As a key member of our gas facility fabrication team, you will be responsible for managing daily work assignments of welders, ensuring the fabrication of distribution system components to our specifications. This involves welding on gas facilities, layout work, and training new welders in proper welding techniques and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have three years of experience in welding work on natural gas distribution and/or transmission pipelines, a valid Minnesota driver's license, and a safe driving record. You will also need to be able to maneuver up to 100 pounds, walk, bend, climb, and lay in awkward positions daily.

Role Responsibilities

Manage daily work assignments of welders to ensure the fabrication of distribution system components to CenterPoint Energy's specifications
Weld on gas facilities, perform layout work, and train new welders in proper welding techniques and procedures
Maintain truck and shop equipment to ensure maximum performance and safe operations
