Job Title: Fabricator - Construction Specialist

Job Summary:

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a skilled Fabricator - Construction Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing construction equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and diagnose repair and maintenance of mobile and plant equipment
  • Plan, design, organize, and lay out construction and repair jobs from blueprints
  • Fabricate structural components from instructions
  • Weld materials in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
  • Perform welding repair and maintenance to stationary production-related equipment, machinery, and structures
  • Perform general physical activities that require moving your whole body and considerable use of your arms and legs

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required. Technical school is preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of welding material, welding properties, and various types of metals
  • Ability to interpret blueprints
  • Welding experience is required
  • Ability to perform brazing, welding, arc-welding, and cutting tasks
  • Flexibility to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands
  • Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises
