Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Chiller Mechanic to join our team at Johnson Controls International. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial, industrial, and institutional chiller maintenance, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute contract maintenance visits, inspections, and site assessments for assigned service accounts.
  • Provide quote estimates for labor and material repairs and upgrades as needed.
  • Represent the company as the direct customer contact, servicing products and equipment on assigned projects.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment and systems at customer locations, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Work with cutting-edge software and technology, as well as a variety of hand tools and rigging equipment.
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company assets.
  • Participate in a team dedicated to delivering high-quality service to customers, requiring flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Be part of our on-call rotation, as we are a 24/7 service company.

Requirements

  • Requires Mechanical Journeyman status.
  • Valid Red Seal Refrigeration and A/C certification.
  • Valid ODS certification.
  • More than 5 years of experience with commercial, industrial, and institutional chillers, various compressor technologies, chiller control systems, and speed drives.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with hand-held computers.
  • Adherence to company safety program.
  • Valid driver's license and appropriate licenses to work with refrigerants, boiler, and steam operational and service knowledge.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be on call nights and weekends on a rotating basis.
