Surgical Nurse Care Coordinator

Compensation PackageAs a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package including:

The Registered Nurse Circulator Main (PRN Days) plays a critical role in maintaining a fast-paced operating room environment, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during procedures. This position involves planning, implementing, and evaluating surgical patient care, as well as managing surgical supplies and equipment.
This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations. The ideal candidate will hold a nursing diploma or degree and possess relevant surgical experience.
Responsibilities- Develop age-specific plans of care for each patient, identifying problems/needs and communicating nursing plans to the healthcare team.
- Anticipate and provide equipment and supplies in a timely manner and organized manner based on patient needs and surgeon requirements.
- Create and maintain a sterile field by using principles of aseptic practice in varying situations, initiating corrective action when breaks in technique occur, and documenting maintenance of the sterile field.
- Perform counts by following established policy and procedures, initiate corrective action when counts are incorrect, and document results of counts.
- Anticipate and provide safe anatomical positioning based on patient needs and surgeon requirements in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Monitor and control the OR Suite environment (temperature, humidity, and sensory) maintain traffic patterns, and adhere to OR sanitation policies.
- Handle, transport, store, prepare, specimens/administer medications/solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Use supplies judiciously and document patient charges completely and accurately.
- Facilitate staff development, assist with the orientation and training of new personnel, and participate in the development of educational programs for coworkers.
