Job Description
Role Summary:Serigor Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Master Data Analyst to join our Enterprise Data Asset team as a key member. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing datasets and supporting teams working in Agile to create a cloud-based data management platform.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze source systems containing spatial components to identify potential issues and conflicts;
- Document business processes and data lifecycle to ensure accurate data governance;
- Develop data requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to facilitate effective project planning;
- Test strategies to ensure seamless data integration and analytics;
- Collaborate with project team members and business stakeholders to understand business needs and pain points;
- Profile source data, review content and structure, and compare it to dataset requirements to identify areas for improvement;
- Elicit, record, and manage metadata to maintain data quality and integrity;
- Determine dependencies between user stories and document associated business processes;
- Assist the Product Owner in maintaining the product backlog and collaborating with staff, vendors, consultants, and contractors to formulate, detail, and test solutions;
- Perform Quality Analyst functions such as defining test objectives, test plans, and test cases, and executing test cases;
- Coordinate and Facilitate User Acceptance Testing with Business and ensure Project Managers/Scrum Masters are informed of progress.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience delivering business data analysis artifacts;
- 5+ years of experience as an Agile Business Analyst with a strong understanding of Scrum concepts and methodology;
- Experience organizing and maintaining Product and Sprint backlogs;
- Expertise in translating client and product strategy requirements into dataset requirements and user stories;
- Proficient in defining acceptance criteria and managing the acceptance process;
- Exceptional experience writing complex SQL queries for SQL Server and Oracle;
- Experience with Azure Databricks and ESRI ArcGIS;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally;
- The ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously;
- Experience with data warehousing architectures including Kimball and Inmon, and designing solutions using various data tools;
- Expertise in Data Factory v2, Data Lake Store, Data Lake Analytics, Azure Analysis Services, and Azure Synapse;
- Strong SQL scripting skills and experience conducting spatial data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) Certification;
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP).
