Wake County Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical Therapist to lead our Physical Therapy Services team. As a key member of our Special Education Services department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a vision for physical therapy services that supports students with disabilities and general education students.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive physical therapy program that aligns with the Wake County Public Schools Strategic Plan.
- Provide leadership and supervision to a team of physical therapists, including recruitment, training, and evaluation.
- Collaborate with other departments, including Special Education Services, Office of Student Services, and Office of Academics, to develop and implement programs and services that support students with disabilities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to provide physical therapy services and equipment.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of physical therapy services and make recommendations for improvement.
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
- Current licensure in North Carolina as a Physical Therapist.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in a public school setting.
- Leadership experience in assessing student needs, planning, developing, and implementing programs, and evaluating program effectiveness.
- Background in pediatric physical therapy services.
This position operates in a professional office and school environment. The Physical Therapist will be required to work with students, families, and staff in a variety of settings, including schools and community-based programs.
