Metal Surface Finishing Specialist

Momentum Manufacturing Group, a leading manufacturing partner to OEMs and product manufacturers, seeks an experienced Metal Surface Finishing Specialist. With over 800 skilled workforce members and 11 manufacturing facilities across the Northeast, we provide high-quality metal products with advanced capabilities.

$40,000 - $55,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.

• Operate deburring tools such as belt sanders, 90° sanders, dyna files, speed heads, and other power tools to achieve precise metal finishing results.
• Inspect finished parts for acceptable quality and identify areas for improvement.
• Analyze blueprints to determine optimal deburring locations and ensure accurate part preparation.
• Buff, polish, and wash parts as required to meet customer specifications.
• Manage scrap and waste material effectively, tracking and logging daily removal and disposal.
• Foster a culture of safety by adhering to procedures assigned by supervisors and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Assist manufacturing teams with additional duties as needed, contributing to the success of the department.

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred; basic math, reading, and writing skills at or above the high school level are essential.
• Tasks require standing and walking 100% of the time, lifting up to 50 pounds, and repetitive motion.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools is necessary.
• Clear close vision is required for inspection of parts.
• A team player with excellent time management skills and ability to work independently when required.
