Job Overview

Momentum Manufacturing Group, a leading manufacturing partner to OEMs and product manufacturers, seeks an experienced Metal Surface Finishing Specialist. Estimated Salary Range

$40,000 - $55,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate deburring tools such as belt sanders, 90° sanders, dyna files, speed heads, and other power tools to achieve precise metal finishing results.
  • Inspect finished parts for acceptable quality and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze blueprints to determine optimal deburring locations and ensure accurate part preparation.
  • Buff, polish, and wash parts as required to meet customer specifications.
  • Manage scrap and waste material effectively, tracking and logging daily removal and disposal.
  • Foster a culture of safety by adhering to procedures assigned by supervisors and maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Assist manufacturing teams with additional duties as needed, contributing to the success of the department.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred; basic math, reading, and writing skills at or above the high school level are essential.
  • Tasks require standing and walking 100% of the time, lifting up to 50 pounds, and repetitive motion.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools is necessary.
  • Clear close vision is required for inspection of parts.
  • A team player with excellent time management skills and ability to work independently when required.
