Market Director

Steel Dynamics is seeking a highly skilled Market Manager to lead and manage specific markets as assigned. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the market, including financial objectives, sales team management, and customer development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and execute financial objectives for the market group, including monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet these objectives, including customer outreach and relationship-building.
• Manage and motivate a regional sales team to achieve sales targets and provide timely feedback to the management team on market conditions.
• Collaborate with other departments, including Customer Service, Production, and Finance, to ensure customer-related issues are addressed and sales execution plans are implemented.
• Travel may be required to service customers or attend industry events.

Qualifications:

• Strong business management skills, with experience in sales, manufacturing, and shipping.
• Successful sales record, with experience in negotiating and closing deals.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to create vision and develop teammates.
• High energy, self-starter, well-organized, with excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in Email, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and navigating ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4-year college degree in business, marketing, or related field.
• Prior knowledge in the SBQ industry.
