About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our fast-growing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and administering prescribed skilled physical therapy treatment and training for patients suffering from various injuries, illnesses, and functional disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an institution accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), and must be licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the State of California.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and administer prescribed skilled physical therapy treatment and training for patients.
  • Test and screen patients' physical strengths to assist the physician in evaluating their level of function.
  • Develop and implement conditioning/rehabilitation programs consistent with the physician's Plan of Treatment.
  • Confer with the physician and clinical team members to obtain additional patient information and develop, implement, and revise the therapy treatment program.
  • Provide written instructions/care plans that reflect the current plan of care as related to therapy.
  • Monitor the completion of documentation by physical therapy assistants and home health aides/personal care workers.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
  • Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the State of California.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Compliant with state healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Possess up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices and physical therapy programs.
  • A minimum of 1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience in an institutional setting.
  • A minimum of 1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience with a home health agency.
  • Must be a licensed driver with vehicle, in good working order, that is currently registered and insured in accordance with state and Neogen Care requirements.
  • Strong skills in observation, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, basic math, Electronic Medical Record Software (Kinnser a plus), and basic computer skills.

Salary and Benefits

This is a full-time/part-time position offering a guaranteed base salary plus competitive per visit rates and performance incentives (for full-time employees only). Additional benefits include paid vacation days, paid holidays, sick leave, medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, 401k, and a referral bonus program.
