Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and maintaining accurate financial information.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring a positive experience for all patients, including greeting patients, answering phone calls, and addressing their concerns.
  • Optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments efficiently and communicating effectively with healthcare providers.
  • Facilitate reminder calls to patients for appointment confirmation and order pickup notification.
  • Record and update financial information, collect patient charges, and file third-party claims.
  • Maintain business office inventory and equipment, ensuring that supplies are ordered and received in a timely manner.
  • Protect patient confidentiality by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Determine medical and vision insurance eligibility in accordance with patients' current plan coverage.
  • Ensure all office systems are maintained, and a safe working environment is provided for all team members and patients.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of office experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong customer service skills (internal and external).
  • Strong communicator and listener.
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Organization skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with in-store technology, such as point-of-sale, patient record systems, and other software applications.
  • Basic knowledge of services, products, vision insurance plans/coverage, and office operations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
