Company Overview: PrideStaff is seeking an Automation Engineer for a 1st Shift role within a Metal Manufacturing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in Automation Engineering initiatives focused on the design and deployment of automation systems tailored for the sugar production sector.
- Work collaboratively with the global Automation engineering team.
- Take charge of developing new and maintaining existing PLC and HMI systems.
- Exhibit strong prioritization skills, clear communication, a proven history of successful project delivery, and exceptional software engineering capabilities. Balance innovative engineering with high-quality standards and a customer-centric approach.
- Provide technical and automation assistance to clients and internal teams.
- Participate in site evaluations, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning processes for implemented systems.
- Manage multiple project aspects and responsibilities effectively.
- Willingness to travel to client sites for project execution (10-25%).
- Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to devise creative solutions.
- At least 5 years of experience in Automation.
- Hands-on experience with PLC and PC-based systems (e.g., Allen Bradley PLC, Siemens, Beckhoff).
- Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) is advantageous.
- Proficient understanding of relational databases, application interfaces, and Human Machine Interface design and implementation.
- Solid knowledge of P&IDs and instrumentation/control devices.
- Familiarity with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, MS Teams, etc.).
