Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? Meeting Street is a special place of learning where children of all abilities have the opportunities to reach their fullest potential. We are currently looking for a Substitute Teacher to join our team at Grace and Carter Schools.
Duties:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and revision of a standards-based curriculum that promotes active learning by providing a variety of developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
- Develop lesson plans, progress reports, and individual learning plans within specified timelines as directed.
- Create a learning environment where children are stimulated and motivated to work to their best potential.
- Design and implement appropriate academic and social goals for all students.
- Facilitate interactions among children that provide opportunities for emotional, social, and cognitive growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in General Education and Special Education with valid certification from RIDE.
- A minimum of one year teaching experience, with prior experience working with children with and without disabilities in an inclusive environment preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- The hours when scheduled to work are Monday through Friday from 7:45AM to 3:15PM.
