Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Consultant to join our team at Truist Financial Corporation. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective identification, measurement, and monitoring of business processes and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute testing and root cause analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of established business controls.
  • Make recommendations for control enhancements and provide practical solutions for updating Business Unit control, policy, procedure, and risk/control documentation.
  • Assist with the remediation of control failures and serve as a subject matter expert for operational or regulatory compliance control implementation, risk mitigation, and effective design of controls.
  • Develop and maintain effective channels of communication with Business Unit Risk Management Leaders, Business Unit Leadership, and 2nd and 3rd Line of Defense partners.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
  • Eight years of experience in a financial institution with emphasis on risk management, audit, and/or line of business specialty.
  • Solid knowledge of risk management principles and controls, broad-based business practices, and understanding of business process and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to own projects and drive process change, independent thinking with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Consulting experience at a corporate level.
  • Experience in the financial services industry, including Wealth Management, Corporate Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and/or Lending.
  • Understanding of the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) industry and GIPS standards; FINRA licenses.
  • CIA, CPA, CISA, MPA, MBA, or advanced degree.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in identifying operational, compliance, reputational, strategic, liquidity, market, and technology risks.
