Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse PRN to join our team at the Porretta Center for Orthopaedic Surgery. This role is essential in providing high-quality nursing care to our patients.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: $34.00 - $40.00 per hour

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least two years of professional nursing experience in a clinical or hospital setting, with a preference for pre-operative, post-operative, or surgical center experience.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Proficient in acute and chronic care protocols, medication administration, and delivering physical care in accordance with treatment plans.
  • Ability to assess patients with chronic health conditions and a solid understanding of the pathophysiology of diseases.
Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients within the clinic, administering medications as per established protocols and physician orders.
  • Ensure exam rooms are stocked with necessary supplies and assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments.
  • Monitor, document, and report any changes in patients' medical conditions, promptly informing physicians and following through as required.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding procedures and medication regimens.
  • Prioritize immediate attention for patients exhibiting changes in their medical status.
  • Maintain and review patient records, ensuring pre-operative communications are conducted with patients to confirm they meet procedural protocols.
  • Respond to patient inquiries related to treatment and provide guidance on medication and care instructions.
  • Observe and report on patients' conditions and their responses to medications and treatments to the medical team.
  • Exhibit clinical expertise and professionalism in emergency situations, ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality are upheld.
