Job Description

Spartech is a leading manufacturing organization in the Custom Sheet & Roll Stock and Packaging industries. We are currently looking for a Production Operator to join our production team in Manitowoc, WI.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing material handling duties, ensuring the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost, and meeting customer specifications and delivery requirements. This position requires excellent math and reading skills, the ability to work safely, and possession of above-average hand-eye coordination and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform material handling duties using safe work habits and maintaining a safe workplace
  • Assist operators in unloading winders and during changeovers
  • Inspect finished rolls, vacuum if dust is visible, and inspect each roll for non-conforming characteristics
  • Maintain inventory and record daily total downtime with reason codes
  • Operate forklifts as required and perform general maintenance tasks

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to read and understand shop orders
  • Strong communication skills
