Bakery Artisan

Compensation: $19 per hour

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Artisan to join our team at Great Wolf Lodge. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating a wide variety of sweet and savory baked goods that delight our guests.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality and service. In this role, you will work closely with our executive chef and other members of the culinary team to create menus, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
• Lifting Ability: Able to lift up to 30 pounds

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Determine the variety and quantity of goods to bake by reviewing production schedules
2. Prepare dough by measuring and mixing ingredients, forming, cutting, and molding dough
3. Prepare dough for baking by placing shaped dough in greased or floured pans, spreading or sprinkling toppings, and inserting pans into the oven to bake
4. Bake dough by adjusting drafts or thermostatic controls to regulate oven temperature
5. Cool baked goods by removing them from the oven, cooling, and removing them from pans
6. Maintain supplies by inventorying ingredients, requisitioning supplies, and verifying receipt when received

Qualifications:

• Ability to follow English-written instructions for the operation of baking and finishing equipment
• Awareness of necessary preventative measures to ensure a clean food preparation area
