Ascension Health is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to enhance our Urology Department. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to deliver high-quality medical services to our patient population.
Key Details- Specialty: Urology
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with 36 hours dedicated to patient care and 4 hours allocated for administrative tasks.
- On-Call Duties: May involve supporting the operating room and being on call as necessary.
- Practice Environment: Fast-paced clinic setting, focusing on established patients while developing a personal practice. Previous experience as an NP or PA is preferred.
- EMR System: Utilization of EPIC for electronic medical records.
- Facility: Located within the St Elizabeth Hospital Campus.

ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will:
- Conduct patient assessments through history-taking, observation, and examination, while ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Manage health conditions through direct treatment and referrals to other healthcare professionals or community resources.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding preventive health measures, treatment options, and available community resources.
- Document healthcare delivery and nursing processes in compliance with specialty standards and network policies.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Nurse Practitioner credentialing from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing is required prior to employment; Minnesota Board of Nursing licensure is also acceptable.
- Registered Nurse credentialing from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing is mandatory prior to employment; multi-state/Compact State licensure is also acceptable.
- Drug Enforcement Administration credentialing is preferred.
Educational Requirements:
- A Master's degree in Nursing is required.
