Job Description: PT Cashier

The primary purpose of this job is to provide exceptional customer service while performing various tasks such as scanning items, making change, and restocking shelves.

As a PT Cashier, you will be responsible for:

  • Promptly reviewing the work schedule, checking equipment and supplies, and preparing for duties at the start of each shift.
  • Providing exceptional customer service by answering questions, resolving issues, and offering product recommendations.
  • Tallying items, taking payments, and making change accurately and efficiently.
  • Restocking shelves and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful as a PT Cashier, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Communicate effectively and understand company policies and safety regulations.
  • Meet ergonomic and physical requirements for the position.
  • Use or learn to use equipment and tools necessary for the job.
  • Complete a 30-60 day introductory period.
  • Perform all job functions safely and meet performance standards.
Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more depending on business needs.
  • Job cycles: continual maximum.
  • Lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Standing 55%, sitting 0%, walking 45%.
