Job Summary

University Health is seeking a skilled CT/XR Technologist to join our Medical Imaging team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with supervisors and lead technologists to ensure efficient patient flow and staff coverage in the CT department.
  • Procure, utilize, and steward technical, physical, and human resources to maintain high-quality patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with patient care quality standards for patients of all ages.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives.
  • Perform diagnostic x-ray procedures as a regular part of duties at assigned locations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an AMA Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Registered in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and board certified in a specialty.
  • ARRT (R), ARRT (CT) certification required upon hire.
  • Performance of diagnostic x-ray procedures as a regular part of duties at assigned locations.
  • Preferred: minimum of 1 year CT tech experience in an acute setting.
  • BCLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Works with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of human development process and ability to work with patients of all ages.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to assist and move patients.
  • Ability to operate a computer and input/retrieve data.
