In this role, you will operate under general supervision, providing legal analysis for various programs, divisions, or departments. You will assist in navigating complex legal situations and may take on leadership responsibilities.
The position requires a strong understanding of laws, regulations, and case law.

Key Responsibilities:

Organize and plan legal service tasks to align with organizational goals. Manage requests for information under the Georgia Open Records Act, ensuring timely responses. Review documents for compliance and determine necessary redactions before release. Collaborate with legal and non-legal teams to coordinate efforts. Draft and evaluate proposed legislation and regulations. Oversee the distribution and completion of workload to meet the agency's legal requirements. Develop internal procedures for required legal services in your area of assignment. Formulate legal strategies and remedies for various cases. Supervise and direct the legal work of assigned staff. Provide guidance on legal and operational matters affecting the agency. Perform additional duties as assigned. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY ON THIS SITE. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with 90 quarter hours or 60 semester hours in criminal justice or a related field, and six years of relevant experience; or two years of experience at the lower level of Legal Analysis Spec 2 (LEP041) or an equivalent position. Note: An equivalent combination of education, experience, training, or certifications may be considered.
