Responsibilities- Collaborate with a physician to provide individualized behavioral healthcare services, diagnosing and treating acute or chronic health conditions.
- Conduct patient assessments, order diagnostic studies, and perform preventative health assessments, screenings, and patient care.
- Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
- Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
- Document delivery of healthcare and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Certified as PMHNP.
- 1-3 years of recent and relevant experience with outpatient psychiatry preferred.
- Prior experience seeing and treating children, adolescents, and older adults preferred.
