Your Role
Position Overview:
As a Senior Vocational Nurse, you will play a crucial role in patient care, performing essential nursing tasks, monitoring vital signs, and assisting medical professionals during examinations and treatments. Your keen observations and documentation will be vital in assessing the physical and mental health of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective education to patients and their families, ensuring all teaching is documented. 10%
- Collect and process laboratory specimens, ensuring accurate communication of results. 10%
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and psychosocial conditions, documenting responses to care accurately. 40%
- Administer treatments and medications safely and effectively, adhering to established protocols and regulations. 40%

Required Qualifications:
- Proven ability to foster effective working relationships within the healthcare environment.
- Capability to maintain an appropriate work pace based on workload demands.
- Demonstrated customer service skills relevant to the nursing profession.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- At least 1 year of experience working with pediatric patients.
- A minimum of 6 months of experience as an LVN in acute care or outpatient settings.
- Possess the necessary skills and knowledge for successful job performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with JCAHO standards.
- Understanding of university and medical center policies and procedures.
- Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese are advantageous.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid LVN license (Required).
- Current BLS certification (Required).
