Job Overview

Community Resource Network of Florida, LLC. is seeking a dedicated caregiver who is engaging, reliable, and is passionate about assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in reaching their fullest potential and enjoying a fulfilling life.

The individual in need of support is a 71-year-old gentleman who requires companionship for community outings and participation in various activities. His interests include arts & crafts and social interaction.

This role is an independent contractor position with a compensation of $15.25 per hour.

Work Schedule: Fridays during the daytime for a duration of 5 hours.

You may be an ideal candidate for this role if you:

  • Exhibit a positive attitude and infectious enthusiasm.
  • Show patience and empathy in your interactions.

Key Responsibilities and Duties include:

  • Encouraging and assisting the individual during home-based activities.
  • Ensuring the safety of the individual and maintaining a secure living environment.
  • Facilitating community engagement by accompanying the individual to social events and outings, including shopping and appointments.
  • Promoting communication, choice, independence, and socialization.
  • Documenting daily progress notes.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening.
  • Demonstrated experience in caregiving for at least one year or relevant technical training.
  • High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
