JOB SUMMARY
As an Animal Care Specialist within our Breed Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the welfare of our research animals. Your efforts will not only safeguard the health of these animals but also have a positive impact on patients globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the health and quality of our animals by providing food, water, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming animals.
- Conduct health assessments, administer medications, collect blood samples, and provide injections in accordance with established protocols.
- Perform additional tasks, including restocking supplies as necessary.

Qualifications:

- Ability to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds.

- High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not mandatory.
- Local candidates are preferred, as this role requires onsite presence.
Role Specific Information:
Location: Not specified
Pay: $19.50 / hour
Schedule: Shifts begin between 4:00 am - 6:00 am, consisting of 9-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday and a 4-hour shift on Friday. Weekend rotation is part of the schedule.
The compensation for this position ranges from $18.00 to $19.50 per hour, with variations based on experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
