About the Position



We are seeking a highly skilled Scale Service Technician to join our team at American Equipment Holdings. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and reliable operation of various types of scales used in industrial and commercial settings.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Installation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of scales.
  • Guaranteeing precise measurements, compliance with industry standards, and customer satisfaction.
  • Performing calibration procedures to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Conducting routine maintenance on scales to prevent malfunctions and extend their lifespan.
  • Diagnosing and repairing scale issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Inspecting scales for wear, damage, and functionality.
  • Maintaining detailed records of service and calibration activities.
  • Interacting with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensuring safety compliance and adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Verifying that serviced scales meet all quality and regulatory standards.
  • Keeping track of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for scale service and maintenance.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in scale technology and industry best practices.


Requirements:


  • Proven experience in scale installation, calibration, and repair.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to scales.
  • Proficiency in using calibration and measurement equipment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects (50 pounds) and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record. Class B (or A) Commercial Drivers License (CDL) a plus.
  • AC/DC, MIG Welding a Plus.
