Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Plumber Apprentice to join our team at Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Mt. Airy, MD. As a Plumber Apprentice, you will assist in performing diagnostic, service, and installation of plumbing in residential environments and ensure that work is performed in accordance with relevant codes.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble, install, repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, or drainage systems in accordance with plumbing code specifications.
• Assist in performing diagnostic and troubleshooting of plumbing issues.
• Install and repair water heaters, water conditioning systems, pumps, and other plumbing equipment.
• Clear drains and perform other plumbing-related tasks as needed.
• Work with customers to understand their plumbing needs and provide solutions.
• Collect payment from customers and ensure that all work is completed to their satisfaction.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in residential plumbing and drain cleaning a plus, but not necessary.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
