We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Soliant Health in beautiful small-town Missouri. This 13-week contract offers a unique opportunity to provide life-saving care in a supportive environment.

Job Overview

As a Clinical Staff Pharmacist, you will work collaboratively with our team to deliver exceptional clinical and professional services in the preparation and dispensing of medications and IV supplies.

Responsibilities
  • Enter and confirm orders through Meditech promptly and accurately, ensuring no duplications or errors.
  • Address inquiries from pharmacy staff, nursing, and physicians, utilizing Meditech and other resources for research.
  • Review physician orders for accuracy, clarifying any discrepancies with prescribers and documenting interactions.
  • Check for duplicates, drug interactions, and adverse reactions, ensuring all dispensed medications match prescriber orders.
  • Operate pharmacy automation and software efficiently, performing safety checks during dispensing processes.
  • Prioritize annual IV Room competency within designated timeframes and accurately prepare powdered sterile products.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and document chemotherapy in the logbook, ensuring compliance with USP 797 standards.
  • Verify narcotic counts post-withdrawal and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
  • Actively participate in selected committees and provide timely responses to drug information requests.
  • Assist in the selection and hiring of pharmacists and precept pharmacy students.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator to enhance pharmaceutical care in drug therapy management.
Requirements

We are seeking a qualified individual with one year of hospital pharmacy experience or internship. A current Missouri pharmacist license or ability to obtain licensure within 90 days is required. Active membership in pharmacy organizations is encouraged.

Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
