About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services Department at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our surgical patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience from pre-operative to post-operative care.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of intra-operative patients, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the surgical process.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless operative procedures and optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including test results and examination findings, to ensure continuity of care.
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
Requirements
- Current Florida Registered Nurse licensure or compact licensure with active FL RN license within 60 days of hire.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Previous experience in an acute care setting, preferably in a surgical or perioperative environment.
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
