The Student Assistant will provide support for various banquet and event tasks under general supervision. This role offers students the chance to enhance their customer service skills, team collaboration, and professional development.

ABOUT OUR COMPANY:

The Foundation is a significant employer for Cal Poly Pomona students, providing valuable work experience to approximately 1,500 students annually.

With positions available in diverse areas from technology to hospitality management, student employees benefit from hands-on training aligned with the university's learn-by-doing philosophy.

Additionally, the Foundation supports various programs including Bronco Athletics and scholarships, making an annual contribution exceeding $1 million to Cal Poly Pomona.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Resourcefulness, initiative, and adaptability.
  • Flexibility, openness to new ideas, and willingness to embrace evolving technologies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Certifications such as Servsafe Managers or equivalent.
  • Valid CA driver's license with insurance coverage.
  • Certification in Servsafe Alcohol or equivalent.
