Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care, utilizing a collaborative approach with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Deliver high-quality care, utilizing the nursing process and demonstrating knowledge and clinical skills of the specialty required on assigned units.
- Delegate and provide direction for other healthcare providers, holding them accountable for their involvement in the plan of care.
- Administer medications and nursing treatments within scope of practice.
- Continuously develop and improve professional skills, staying up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and technologies.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within three months from date of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or obtain within six months from date of hire.
- Microsoft Office - basic computer skills.
- Customer/patient-focused (EHR).
