Job Title: Shop Foreman

At MV Transportation, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Foreman to lead our maintenance operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of our vehicles.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Oversee the repair and maintenance of our fleet, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Staff Management: Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
  • Financial Management: Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring that all expenses are accurately recorded and reported.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including management, to ensure that maintenance needs are met and that any issues are promptly addressed.
Requirements:
  • Technical Competence: Must have extensive experience in heavy duty vehicle repair and maintenance, including air conditioning systems, transmissions, electrical diagnosis, emission control systems, and wheelchair lifts.
  • Leadership Skills: Must be able to lead and manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
  • Financial Management: Must have experience in managing a budget and ensuring that all expenses are accurately recorded and reported.
  • Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including management, to ensure that maintenance needs are met and that any issues are promptly addressed.
