Nutrition Therapist Role

We are seeking a skilled Nutrition Therapist to provide individualized care to patients with various health needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nutrition therapy and be able to apply the Nutrition Care Process (NCP).

  • Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Provide group and individual nutrition therapy via the NCP.
  • Screen patients to identify those at nutritional risk via nursing assessment.
  • Complete dietitian assessments on individuals according to risk level following screening.
  • Recommend transitional feedings and participate in multidisciplinary team decisions.
  • Provide individualized drug/nutrient interaction education as indicated.

Requirements:

  • Maintain registration through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Obtain and maintain state certification within 6 months post-hire.
  • Aware of Joint Commission and other regulatory agency compliance regulations.
