We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Freeport-McMoRan Inc.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in electrical maintenance and repair. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and non-routine electrical maintenance and repairs, including troubleshooting and diagnosis of electrical systems.
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical components, including motors, controls, and instrumentation.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure seamless operation of our facilities.
  • Develop and implement procedures for electrical maintenance and repair, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical maintenance and repair, preferably in a industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including AC/DC drives, PLCs, and instrumentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with VFDs, PLC, HMI, and/or SCADA Control Systems.
  • Experience working with low and medium voltages.
  • Experience with AC and/or DC controls.
  • Experience with instrumentation devices.
  • Experience with diagnostic electrical test equipment.
