Position Overview

The role of our Drivers is crucial within the organization, as they are responsible for the safe, timely, and complete delivery of our products to clients. As representatives of our company, they embody our core values, with safety being the utmost priority.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Transport goods locally to and from construction sites.
  • Utilize forklifts for unloading building materials.
  • Engage in hand loading, unloading, stacking, and staging of products.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, cargo deliveries, and hours worked.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues to management.
  • Ensure the truck is kept clean and presentable.
  • Report any road incidents to management and adhere to accident protocols.
  • Comply with DOT, state, and local traffic regulations.
  • Plan delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate any customer concerns to management.
  • Other reasonable tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid CDL Class A driver's license.
  • A minimum of 5 years of driving experience.
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing.
  • Driving record must meet company standards.
  • Must pass all relevant health benchmarks and provide a medical certificate, unless exempt.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on distraction-free driving.
  • Thorough understanding of logistics systems.
  • Friendly demeanor with a commitment to outstanding customer service.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Regularly lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Frequently carry 100 pounds over distances of at least 12 feet with assistance.
  • Occasionally push 100 pounds using a wheeled cart.
  • Bend, stoop, or squat frequently.
  • Reach overhead to handle materials.
  • Climb ladders as necessary.
  • Possess hand-eye coordination for operating both powered and non-powered equipment.
  • Work outdoors in varying temperatures, from extreme heat to extreme cold.
