Job Summary
This role provides direct clinical patient care as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Cardiac Tele Unit at Princeton Medical Center. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervising staff to ensure appropriate care is delegated and is accountable to support the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level.
- Supervise staff to ensure appropriate care is delegated.
- Support the CNO to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Graduated from a state-approved school of nursing or an accredited school.
- Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
- CPR certification.
- Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (bachelor's or master's degree).
