About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dietary Aide to provide exceptional support to our residents at Stonebrook Convalescent Ctr. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care and service.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare therapeutic desserts and salads as required, adhering to dietary orders and regulations.
  • Serve meals in the health center pantries, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Transport hot and cold foods to and from the health center pantries, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and utensils in dish machines, adhering to regulations.
  • Provide health center snacks and supplements per diet orders, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain stock and sanitation levels in coffee and juice machines in dining rooms, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Set tables and maintain work stations in proper order, promoting a positive dining experience.
  • Take orders, provide service, and requested items with a smile and courtesy.
  • Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Answer pertinent questions about menu items, providing accurate and helpful information.
  • Ensure that orders match Physician's diet orders, adhering to regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, perform simple arithmetic, and understand measurements and conversions.
  • Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards.
  • Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor, and peers, requiring empathy for the elderly.
