Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

McLaren Thumb Region is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality respiratory care services to patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders.

Job Summary:

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing emergency care, intensive care, therapeutic treatment, and diagnostic testing for patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.
  • Monitoring and maintaining equipment, participating in quality assurance and improvement activities.
  • Interviewing, examining, and assessing patients to develop treatment plans.
  • Consulting with physicians to create therapy programs for patients.
  • Performing diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity and using blood gas analyzers.
  • Treating patients using various methods, including chest physiotherapy and non-invasive therapies.
  • Connecting, monitoring, and treating patients who require ventilator support.
  • Monitoring and recording patient progress.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate degree in a Respiratory Therapist Educational Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
  • Current state licensure as a respiratory therapist.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through the NBRC.
  • BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
