Glenwood Community is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse (LPN) to deliver exceptional care to our residents. The LPN will operate within their scope of practice to coordinate care delivery interventions for approximately 25 residents in their designated area, adhering to current professional standards, physician directives, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage resident treatment plans and ensure quality care delivery.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as per nursing protocols.
- Conduct assessments of residents under the supervision of an RN.
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care, including family education.
- Perform routine rounds to monitor care quality and adherence to restorative protocols.
- Utilize infection control techniques to safeguard resident health.
- Monitor vital signs and hydration levels, utilizing appropriate equipment.
- Assist in the implementation of physician orders and coordinate diagnostic services.
- Document resident responses to treatments and report significant changes to supervisors.
- Oversee specialized procedures such as catheter care and tube feeding.
- Ensure compliance with dietary recommendations and monitor residents' nutritional status.
- Collect lab specimens and perform necessary checks as required.
- Engage in the education of residents and families regarding care management.
- Participate in care conferences and contribute to the development of care plans.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety protocols within the facility.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a state-approved nursing education program.
- Preferred experience in nursing or long-term care settings.
- Active LPN license issued by the State Board of Nursing.
- CPR certification and compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations.
