Overview:
We are seeking a qualified candidate to collaborate with IT teams overseeing both on-premises data centers and cloud infrastructures, ensuring that testing and exercises effectively evaluate contingency strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Under the guidance of the Department Manager, you will:
- Plan, develop, maintain, test, and document all facets of the IT disaster recovery strategy. (80%)
- Formulate and uphold policies related to banking operations, secure Management's endorsement, and disseminate any new or revised policies on the company's intranet.
- Review testing cycles for critical applications and processes, validate third-party resilience, and respond to cyber threats.
- Facilitate and conduct testing, gather and analyze results for enhancements and reporting.
- Manage and sustain the annual Business Impact Analysis survey.
- Conduct gap analyses and risk assessments, compiling results for Management reporting.
- Engage in the annual Tabletop Exercises.
- Collect and analyze testing outcomes, integrating modifications into the IT disaster recovery strategy.
- Ensure the IT disaster recovery strategy is developed and maintained to meet FFIEC compliance, BNP Paribas, and internal audit standards.
- Lead projects during the annual BancWest Disaster Recovery Exercise.
- Collaborate with business units, IT support teams (Network, Server, End User), and Fidelity Information Services (FIS) to coordinate testing.
- Prepare and present reports on compliance and testing requirements for Management approval.
- Stay informed on best practices in business continuity and recommend processes to enhance the overall IT disaster recovery strategy.
2. Assist in the formulation and execution of strategic plans and objectives for the department (20%):
- Manage, mentor, train, and support department personnel.
- Enhance operational efficiencies, reduce costs, and elevate customer service.
- Assume responsibilities in the absence of the Department Manager.
Required Skills:
Expertise in disaster recovery, disaster recovery testing, business continuity, and project management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Effective verbal and written communication skills with clients, peers, department managers, customers, and vendors are essential.
